Kauai - Hawaii

The island is often called the Garden Island and rightly so. It is a very green and sparsely populated island. Since there is only one road, navigation is also very easy, and we settled down in the middle of this road (no circumnavigation of the island possible) near Lihue. After the city of Waikiki, we were drawn to the state parks of Waimea and Koke'e in the following days. While hiking into the valley, we admired the Waipo'o Falls and the lookout on Wai'ale'ale. This is the wettest point on Earth and the summit is always covered in clouds. We didn't see it, but we always stayed dry.

We also visited the southern beaches of Poipu with the blowhole and a beautiful walk along the coast the next day.

For once, the alarm clock woke us up again. The reason was a long hike along the Napali Coast on the Kalalau Trail to the waterfall. These attractions are well-visited, so you have to find a parking space. When we arrived, it was pouring rain, as I mentioned, it is called the Garden Island and it needs to be watered. But the good thing is that it's over after 10 minutes. The path was a bit muddy, but we are experienced in outdoor activities. :-)

For the remaining days, we enjoyed the hula show and the other amenities of the resort.
