Yoga and List

Without breakfast but with a lot of anticipation, we enter the Yoga room in Westerland. The city is still sleepy, only a few people are jogging or walking their dogs, there is a calmness in the early morning, only the waves are already making a lot of noise. The 1.5 hours with trainer Annecke are intense, opening, stretching, it does us good. In the end, Franzi realizes that we absolutely have to have breakfast now, endless hunger.

Since Franzi is not joining us for breakfast, we will already go to Goldgelb today.

We share pancakes like sisters and also have a coconut and an Açaí bowl. Delicious! We decide to go to a tea shop that offers its own production and stock up on tea and cups😀.

We're going home. Why? My camera is at home (it's working again !!!), we want to change clothes and splash some water on our faces after exercising. Then we take public transport to List. Side note: the bus network here on Sylt is really excellent.

List is the northernmost municipality in Germany and therefore located in the far north of the island in the midst of a fantastically beautiful dune landscape. About 1,700 people live in List; during the summer months, the number of inhabitants multiplies significantly, as List is one of the most popular places on the island. A paradise-like landscape of heath, salt marshes, and wandering dunes awaits its visitors. List achieved fame mainly through the famous gastronomist Jürgen Gosch. The Sylt-born legend, also known as the "fish king," runs the northernmost fish stand in Germany here. After a long walk, we settle down and Franzi finally gets her plaice 😋.

Speaking of walks: unfortunately, our feet can't take us all the way to the lighthouse. We surrender before that. Yesterday and today have already been very intense, truthfully, quite exhausting. But we like List, among other things, because the sea is so calm and beautiful. We decide to enjoy the roaring sea once more and take the bus home, but get off at the beach. Our walk - with the wild sea - leads us to Kombûsen-Logbuch. A restaurant with outdoor seating, no protection, but heaters and blankets... and the view, in front of us the sea, hardly any people... We warm up with tea and ice cream with pumpkin seed oil.

It's dark, we don't really know the way to get home from the beach. With our mobile phone torches and the hope that Sylt is very safe, we make our way along the dunes. And we look forward to the warmth of home.
