And then the rain came

When we came back from the hike, it started raining. As we will later find out, the rain will accompany us for a while. We managed to hitchhike from Fox Glacier to Greymouth without much waiting time. In Greymouth, we stayed for only one night without sightseeing before continuing to Nelson. In the morning, despite the rain, we stood by the road, hoping someone would give us a lift for the 290 kilometers to Nelson. After waiting for 2.5 hours in heavy rain, we gave up and took the next bus. It was a bit frustrating, but it turned out to be the right decision when we saw that the rain continued. With the bus, we drove along one of the supposedly most beautiful coastal roads in New Zealand, including Pancake Rocks. Unfortunately, we couldn't appreciate it much due to the weather.

In Nelson, things continued in a similar manner. Sightseeing was rained out once again, so we spent our time reading and watching movies in the hostel... which can also be nice.

We then flew to Wellington on the North Island with a propeller plane in search of better weather.
