Supermarket expensive?

Why am I writing this post? I got extremely upset about a report on TV!! I'm sorry, but I just don't understand when an individual complains about not being able to get by on 150 euros a month - as was just reported in a documentary! Of course, I feel sorry for people who can't make ends meet!

Expensive shopping at the supermarket?

In fact, our lives have become expensive thanks to war and Corona. We don't need to discuss heating costs and fuel. Maybe when it comes to grocery shopping?
I keep wondering what I do differently in the long run?

I am single. I like to eat meat and enjoy a glass of red wine with my meals. Not every day, but every other day.

I buy groceries at my local Penny supermarket on average twice a month. And I regularly monitor price developments.
An example of my receipt today:

4 neck steaks
4 grill sausages
2 (expensive) Butcher beef steaks
1 XXL pack of cheese Vienna sausages (11 pieces)
10 colored eggs
1 large pot of tzatziki
1 pack of Serrano ham
2 packs of lean athlete ham
2 packs of Bergader cheese
1 pack of mixed sliced cheese
1 whole grain bread
2 packs of mixed salads (including sauces and side dishes)
1 deodorant spray
1 toothpaste
1 bag of potatoes
2 pounds of pasta
1 pack of Amicelli (a gift to bring)
2 packs of chocolate sticks (same as above)

Total purchase price just under 49 euros. This will last me at least 2 weeks - sorry, I don't want to stuff myself any more than that!
Does my shopping look like I have to starve?

Addtional purchases (not everything every month)

6 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot (monthly requirement)
6 bottles of soft drinks (monthly requirement)
Toilet paper
Shower gel
Laundry detergent
Coffee
Sliced bread

That's the estimation. In fact, I rarely needed more than 125 euros a month!

Ok. I already pay attention to taking products with a 30% discount due to approaching expiration date, preferably special offers and no name brands, the quality is not worse than the more expensive items! Some things have simply become too expensive for me - I don't have to buy them!!
Fruits and vegetables only as seasonal items when they are cheap.
If you like to shop at the bakery and butcher, you can do that. But if you pay attention to quality at the supermarket, you don't have to!

I admit: I can afford to spend twice as much. But I don't. Why should I?
If I ever find myself in a tight situation, I would give up my merlot, sweets, and expensive beef steaks. Then my monthly food budget would be less than 100 euros... and maybe I would live a little healthier😎
