Our destination for today was actually Warnemünde. Despite a long search, we were unable to find affordable accommodation there. So we went to Rostock instead. As that was about 15 extra kilometers, we skipped the detour to go around the island of Poel. We left Wismar a little later this morning as we were still waiting for the last small storm front from the night to pass. At first the sky was still overcast and the humidity extremely high, but later the sun came out. The best thing today was the wind, which had turned to the west or southwest and had also picked up. We had it mostly at our backs and were driving with wind energy, so to speak. Of course, we also had to drive against the wind a few times. If it had been like that all day, we would have been extremely frustrated. The route initially went a little inland, before reaching the coast shortly before Kühlungsborn. We drove right along the Baltic Sea for a long time without really seeing it because there was always a narrow strip of green in between. From Kühlungsborn we went via Heiligendamm to Bad Doberan and from there on to Warnemünde. There, the port was full of tourism again. Finally, we went to our current accommodation in Rostock, where we arrived after about 96 kilometers for the day.
