Warm, stuffy nights. How do people manage to lead a healthy lifestyle and get their sleep without air conditioning?
After paying far too high a price for our laundry, we brought it home. We met our landlady and asked if we could rent the scooter for 2 more days and were able to pay without any problems. She also gave us some sights of Koh Samui and told us what else we could do. She is really very sweet! Also because yesterday she exchanged our towels, which were supposed to be hanging outside to dry while we were away, but got soaking wet and dirty from the rain, without saying a word.
Afterwards we drove towards Lamai. Here we had previously looked at a tattoo shop that we headed for. We had been thinking about implementing our tattoo idea on vacation on Koh Samui for a few days. Yesterday evening the motif came into our heads and we were both immediately convinced of it. Nina drew a sketch that helped create the final motif in the studio today. We are very happy with the lasting memory of this wonderful time! Message from Ronja to her dad: Don't take it against me! And no, I won't get my entire body tattooed.
Afterwards we strolled through the streets for a bit and strutted towards the sea. Wow! The waves were really bad today. So far we have only ever seen the sea here peacefully but today the waves were incredibly high and wild. The water was also really dirty due to the blown sand and algae floating around. However, the wind that blew fine drops of sea water into our faces was really good. It was so warm and oppressive that Ronja had problems with her circulation.
“Hey Nina, I want to find hair ties now!!” - “Hey and I finally find a belt!!”
In between we had very tasty quesadillas and then felt like a sweet snack. Whenever we look for the Rutis, we don't find them. But we found one of the top attractions that our landlady had recommended to us. Grandmothers and Grandfathers Rocks. What should we talk about? The male genitalia was visible - it looked really beautiful in front of the low sun.
On the way back we passed another car accident, but the police were already there. The people on the ring road were driving wildly again... we looked for Ruti and only found stupid restaurants that didn't have bananas or Nutella, not to mention Rutis. Oh man. We decided on a disappointing fruit shake and a dry pancake, which we spent a lot of money on because we had no choice. Or rather we had one: either we went home hungry or with a bad, overpriced pancake. Because we can't see rice and Pad Thai anymore right now.
At 7/11, in addition to water, tissues and chocolate bars, we also found hair ties that Ronja had been looking for all day. She was so happy about this that she gave Nina a headbutt. It's good that Nina didn't take off her helmet even during 7/11 and so only one of us sustained roof damage.
Animal visit : Last night a millipede got into our room. We then brought it safely outside. Last night the mosquitoes sucked us dry. This morning a spider crawled over Nina's body. We were briefly attacked by dogs on the scooter while driving. When we got home, huge ants waved at us from the toilet. Shortly afterwards, Ronja was bitten again by an animal that resembled a grasshopper. Everything okay! But enough for now.
We've had enough for today.
Until tomorrow
