The photographer is less so ... after 8 (!) attempts to photograph me in full size - I give up ... and set off ......sun for my final stage! ... clear statement - there and back to Honningsvåg - so 62 km ... not much actually, but over 1000 vertical meters are of course still included ...... the buses for the mass are already waiting ...... it's pleasant to ride in lightweight attire ... only in the shade it's a bit chilly - but that will soon change when power is demanded in the upcoming first climb ...... and once again this blue for the last day on the slopes ... I am grateful ...... sure, the dam is impressive - but the road at the very top is visible - that's where it goes ...... the view into the distance is always overwhelming ...... the Norwegians never build roads with serpentine curves - that must mean it's really steep up there!... long hikes would also be possible here without any problems ...... for weeks I have been bursting with joy inside ... the pass summit is here! Is it the melancholy of farewell ... today it feels different ...... little traffic yet - so close-up for once ..... on the front right promontory is my Finisterre of the North ...... prolong it a bit ... the road is almost descending back down to sea level ...... so, let's absorb it once again with all my senses ...... a distant view of the road ...... precise sign: That's where it goes ...... the color tones for today are mixed on the palette ...... today I'm really glad not to be so fast - behind me the North Cape may already be visible ...... lucky me - there is still at least one downhill with a subsequent Norwegian ramp left ...... but now there is no more delay ...... there is the North Cape!... last descent - last climb ...... today we have encountered each other several times - he repairs the road edges with gravel ... kilometer by kilometer ... and I ask what his workplace is like - he points to the panorama and says: Magnificent! But already nervous campers are honking behind me ... and we break off the conversation quickly ...... and that's the prominent part of the North Cape - a large parking lot ...... I almost found it a bit excessive to repaint the monument - but the Norwegians have their own will ...... that's where the actual North Cape would be geographically correct - but where would you go there with all the motor vehicles? And 300 meters above the sea is also more spectacular!... where the sea merges into the sky ...... depending on the frequency at which the cargoes arrive, there can suddenly be a crowd and it becomes unpleasantly loud ...Momentary snapshot from the souvenir shop ... if trolls really should look like this, then it's somehow pitiable ...... dreadful! Who actually buys something like that?... one last melancholic look towards the Barents Sea ...... then I take the return journey on my bike - as the sky is already darkening in the south anyway ...... like liquid lead?... they take my departure calmly ...... one last look at the North Cape ......
