From Nusa Dua to Nusa Lembongan

Since I am quite behind with the blog entries, here comes the next one already.

Vanessa and I have chosen a beautiful bungalow resort on Nusa Lembongan. We had already booked the transfer there one day in advance through Komak. Here, everything is a bit more relaxed. Komak called us the evening before and told us that the driver would be there at 10 o'clock and that the complete transfer (including pick-up in Nusa Dua, boat ride, transfer to the hotel on Nusa Lembongan, transfer back to the port three days later, boat ride, and you could choose where you wanted to be dropped off) costs about 40 euros. However, we didn't have a ticket or anything like that. We simply trusted that it would work.

The next morning, the driver was punctual and we gave him the money right away. He then drove us to Sanur, from where the boat was supposed to depart. It was supposed to leave at quarter past twelve. However, some passengers didn't make it through the traffic in time, so it was over an hour later.

I was a little nervous when I got on this boat because I had heard so much about these crossings (nothing good). I was glad that Vanessa was with me, because I probably wouldn't have done it alone. But the crossing was okay. I had imagined it much worse. But I also have to say that the crossing to the Gilis, which can sometimes take 2 hours, would have been too much. It took 30 minutes here, and that was fine.

But when we arrived in paradise, we realized that it was definitely worth it. It's just perfect to relax at the end of the trip. You have a big pool to relax in and the sea right in front of you. Your ass is carried around all day and you can just treat yourself well.

There was also a trendy surfer bar next door where something was happening on Friday evening. The next day, I had a Canadian national dish in this bar, which was a bit strange. They were fries covered with cheese, then gravy and bacon on top. Crazy !!!

There were many dogs in the resort and on the beach, but they were all very nice. They would lie down with you all day (you on the sun lounger, the dog underneath) and somehow accompany you all the time. I fell in love with a little guy in particular. I could have taken him with me right away. At first, he watched us very shyly and then came up to us very bravely to check us out.

Since we really just relaxed on the small island, there are not really many photos.

I can really only recommend going to Pemedal Beach on Nusa Lembongan. We paid 25 euros for one night, which is more than good.

After the boat ride back, our paths then separated. Vanessa went to Ubud and I am now back in Seminyak with Sonny and spend the last days shopping ;)
