Finally, I made it to a computer. I'm sorry it took so long.

Here's our story so far:

November 1, 2017:

We arrived totally exhausted in Auckland after a 23-hour flight and 12 hours ahead of our biological clock. The visa and baggage check process was shorter than expected, and soon we were on the streets of Auckland. We took the Skybus towards downtown. As usual, we got a little lost at first, but eventually found our hostel (we realized it was just around the corner, but we ended up going around about 4 corners). Once we arrived at the hostel, we had to store our luggage, as check-in was not possible until 2 o'clock.

We spent our morning/afternoon in downtown and tried our best not to succumb to our desire to lie down on the street and sleep. We took every opportunity to take a short break and set our alarm just to be safe. --> Park bench, large loungers, stone path

At around 4 o'clock, we checked in at the Nomads Hostel and when we entered the room, there was only 1 bed available. Hmmm, okay, back to the reception - room swap, and luckily, 2 beds were free :) (advantage: booked a 12-bed room and got a 6-bed room).

We then wanted to go to the travel shop next door at 6 o'clock, where there was a small party. I wanted to take a little power nap around 5, and when she didn't get up right away after about half an hour, Rebecca decided to take a little nap too. We both woke up at 7 o'clock, surprised by the time. Okay, we still had an hour left for the party, which was supposed to end at 8 o'clock. However, when we stood in front of the travel shop, we decided that it was too crowded and made another detour to the harbor.

Thanks to melatonin tablets, we were able to sleep relatively well, but we still didn't feel fully rested in the morning ;)
