With the locals to the market - between fish, meat and bananas

In the past few days, there have been some nice encounters again. Yesterday we met a couple from our resort who are also traveling through Thailand for several months and had a lot to talk about. We sat together at the restaurant on the beach until almost 11 p.m. and had a very nice conversation about everything under the sun. Interesting, they run a make-up blog under the name Perfect Make-up.

This afternoon, Nora and I were sitting on our terrace when the landlady drove by and spontaneously invited us to go to the market with her. We accepted the invitation and it was an experience once again. At 4 p.m. in the afternoon, fish and meat are sold at open stalls at temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius. Flies included, as well as a beautiful scent... you can maybe imagine. And yet people still buy enthusiastically. It will be fried afterwards, and so far we have never had any problems with the food. So they must know what they are doing :-) It takes a little trust, though :-)

While strolling through the rows, Nora once again devoured the usual 4 chicken skewers and then treated herself to a few bananas afterwards... as seen in the picture :-) And that was already the smallest portion we could buy.

On the way back home, I thanked the woman for giving us a ride. She then said that everyone here is so happy that we are here as guests and already consider us part of the family. That was sooo sweet and really touched me! It's a good thing we came back here again.
