Whitsunday Islands ... a postcard landscape!

Good morning to Germany!

Yesterday we had a beautiful day trip to the picturesque Whitsunday Islands.

The ferry ride on the high-speed catamaran took about 1 hour!

First stop was Whitehaven Beach for swimming and a short walk to the lookout point!

We were really surprised when we stepped onto the viewing platform from the small forest on the mountain!

We have never seen anything like this... these colors, the whitest beach in the world!

And if you focused, you could see various reef inhabitants such as giant stingrays and sharks in the shallow water.

Afterwards, we explored the water while swimming and snorkeling at different spots.

Just absolutely beautiful...

Tomorrow we will continue towards Cairns and Port Douglas via Townsville (Great Barrier Reef).
