Whitsundays

Monday the 18.09.2017 and our third week here in Australia begins.

We never thought that you could see so much in such a short time but we did. So much has happened in the past two weeks and time seemed to pass by so quickly and yet not.

By far the highlight of the last 14 days was our last trip: a three-day tour with a trimaran through the Whitsundays.

It was simply incredibly beautiful and our group on the boat was just amazing.

The crew on the boat, consisting of an Australian man - our skipper, with a lot of wisdom and great stories, who played his ukulele in the evening when the sun was setting, and two young guys who couldn't have been funnier from the beginning, set the mood in a good way.

But we also had the coolest people on the tour, which made it unforgettable for us. A mix of Australians, Germans, English and people from Denmark.

And then there was also the nature that we were able to experience, it was just amazing.

The sunsets and sunrises alone were unique and when we reached Whitehaven Beach, we were speechless.

We were woken up at 6 in the morning so that we could all have breakfast together at sunrise and then we drove to the beach so that we could be the first ones there.

The sand there was so so soft and white... you can't imagine it. You can brush your teeth and clean your skin with the sand, it just takes away everything.

On the same evening, we also saw the most beautiful sunset that can exist.

When we were back on land after three days, we all met up for a drink in the evening, talked one last time and went to a club here in Australia together. English people are by far the craziest when it comes to partying 😂!!

All in all, this tour was absolutely amazing and so far the best of everything.

We have now traveled to another city towards the south and we are currently lying in our beds in Hervey Bay. From here, our tour to Fraser Island starts early tomorrow morning, and so far we have only heard positive things about it.

In a three-day tour, we will explore the island with jeeps and sleep in tipis and hopefully see some dingoes. 😊
