The third day is coming to an end and it's already difficult to process all these amazing experiences.
Yesterday we dived in the Great Barrier Reef and today we made a big decision.
Every day is something special and no photo could capture all these incredibly beautiful places, moments, and amazing people.
The Great Barrier Reef was just... woow. We went on a boat with about 50 people from all over the world. On our right, there was a man from Israel and on our left, someone from India. In front of us, there were girls from Canada and behind us, people from Germany who had just finished a trip to Indonesia. Mix of cultures.
On our way there, we had the luck to see a dolphin or two for a few minutes. 🐬
Arrived at the largest reef in the world, most people received a briefing on diving, but since we are still a little scared, we preferred to snorkel instead. Even that was already quite heavy.
(We swam for 2 minutes and then immediately got a life vest 😂). But looking down takes your breath away.
Colorful fish, each of a different color, striped, dotted... everything! The whole coral reef from 'Finding Nemo'... yeah, I would have taken that for my little cousin. 🐠🐡🐟
Seeing this kind of life is a completely different experience than admiring the aquarium in a pet store.
After that, our expectations for this day trip were exceeded because we went to a small sand island in the middle of nowhere. Simply incredibly beautiful and so so quiet.
In the evening, we just sat by the incredibly beautiful Esplanade Swimming Lagoon and talked until the sun went down.
On the way back from this experience, we encountered a new opportunity, which we took on today.
The next few weeks will be full of adventures and we hope we continue to have so much luck! 🍀
