Farewell to the green coast

A dream weather today in Paraty - the old colonial city. Overall a very worthwhile vacation destination and I almost regret that I always buy the bus ticket the night before.

The breakfast at my hostel (Pousada) was great, but the house boss, a guy like Bud Spencer, wasn't quite there yet. I was probably the only guest. So not a bad choice after all and still small talk, as far as linguistically possible. With English you don't get far in Brazil in general, with Spanish already more. When I arrived at the bus station, my shirt was already completely sweaty, even though I was walking slowly. The bus ride along the truly dreamlike Costa Verde was a delight. There are many places with palm beaches and offshore islands, high mountains lush vegetation, where you could also have a longer vacation. But Paraty is unique because the road, thanks to the historical city center, doesn't go along the sea - everything is peaceful, relaxed and harmonious - see for yourself in today's photo yield!

It went up over pass roads and finally over green-covered highlands to Sao Paulo - with 2 breaks almost 7 hours of driving. In the metropolis, the smog condenses and the first impression of this city is rather modest - lots of high-rise buildings. You don't necessarily have to be here. Therefore, tomorrow morning we will continue west towards the interior of the country.

The tip from the tourist office with the supposedly worth seeing district was disappointing. It's not surprising that besides Naples, Sao Paulo has many excellent pizza bakers, because of many Italian immigrants - migration background, an enrichment. The pizza man even spoke English, but apologized several times that it wasn't very good. The pizza was great, though, just the toppings were different and you generally eat it with your hands.
