The marathon runner is coming out for me: in the next few days the remaining kilometers to Santiago de Compostela will be less than 1000! Over two thirds done, we are heading towards the finish line!
Hopefully my shoes won't cause any problems.
With Chris and Anja, my experienced multiple conquerors of the Camino de Santiago, I am calculating how many days I will need to reach the goal.
In the morning we say goodbye, it's tight for breakfast just before 7.

In St-Antoine a relic of Saint Anthony is venerated.
During the 35 kilometers of the day, you discover beautiful things over and over again.
I totally overlooked this signpost, I received the picture in the evening:
It can't be yet, 999 km is too early. Please note the upward vertical direction!
In the afternoon, there is still time to explore the gem of Lectoure, once again one of the best preserved medieval villages in France.
I get to spend the night with three German women, for the first time the Germans outnumbered the others 😊
