Today was the second sea day on the way to Makassar.
When we went for a morning walk, the deck was completely wet, it must have rained heavily during the night - but now it was dry.
After breakfast, we went to the gym and then to a lecture about the upcoming shore excursions and another lecture about the influence of religions in this area.
For lunch, there was only salad again on the outside deck in beautiful weather. We try to avoid eating inside if possible. It is so cold everywhere on the ship that you have to dress warmly. It is really uncomfortable to constantly switch between indoors and outdoors. But many Americans like it cool, others complain about the cold just like us. You can't please everyone.
We haven't crossed the equator yet, but that will happen shortly. That's why today was the equator baptism for the passengers who are crossing the equator for the first time. Of course, with the obligatory ice shower and fish kissing. They did it quite nicely with elaborate costumes of the entertainers.
We spent the afternoon reading and simply enjoying the ship. In between, we squeezed in another lesson of abdominal muscle training (no, not in the restaurant, but actually during the gym session!).
In the early evening, there was another dance on the program followed by a light dinner.
The evening ended with a comedian.
