A little bit of Germany

Beautiful weather (23C) invites you to take a walk. Since the German embassy is not far away (2.7km), I want to say hello, you never know. (But Google didn't tell me that there are 3 hills to overcome on the way, but it's healthy ;-).

One is welcomed by Jordanian security personnel, who, after some inquiries, at least bring a German staff member. He can't invite me in for a coffee, but takes some time to chat.

The whole area to the north is becoming wealthier, also in terms of cars, houses, and shops. And it reminds me a lot of California.

As a pedestrian, you still have to be careful here. Especially at large intersections. The colors of the traffic lights seem to be reversed. When I as a pedestrian have red, the cars also stop. The pedestrian light turns green and if I had stepped onto the crossing now, I would be a dead man. I look at it twice and then cross when it's red and everything is fine.

On the way back, a little stop at the café, then some shopping (the shops are usually open for 17 hours a day until midnight). Back home safe and sound.

...home office until Wednesday
