So dear readers of the blog, I'm sorry, somehow it's not working out with the writing here in New Zealand.
My theses about possible reasons:
Thesis A) We don't have enough time: no long bus rides, we cook a lot ourselves, we change locations almost every day.
Thesis B) We don't experience enough to tell. Thesis C) There is always internet available where you can't really write well.
Thesis D) Now we also take photos with the camera and until I have them on my phone and can post them.... 'holy shit' 😱 (The New Zealander likes to curse, I want to learn that too)
Thesis D) We like it too much, I can't make ironic remarks. 😉
Choose one of the theses! 😘 Except for point B), there is probably something to all of them. I think I am still sorting too much in my mind how I find and experience things, to then tell you about it. Since Wednesday we have been in Dunedin with a German-New Zealand family. The German 'part' also comes from the beautiful Salzgitter, their mom was my substitute grandma and she also occasionally helped us as a babysitter. They really took a lot of time for us and so we always had full days and a deep insight and really a lot of information about New Zealand, politics, history... Really good for us! I will try to include it in the upcoming posts from time to time.
Tomorrow we will continue further south. I could write a separate blog post about the weather and the weather forecast. It is never as warm and sunny as you believe, but it is also never as the weather forecast says, it constantly changes and I can actually say it with the statement from the lady at the car rental: If we New Zealanders followed the weather, we would do nothing anymore. But we still have to learn that attitude, I believe. In the past few days, we have constantly watched the weather to make a plan. Tonight, everything looks different again from the weather news. And so we will just start tomorrow!
You can also look forward to a blog post about public toilets! I think I will start a photo series.
I still wanted to write about camping! Hopefully about Kiwis, the funny little birds, not too much about sandflies...
So, now I'm looking for photos! And then off to bed! Have a nice weekend everyone!
