10.08.2018 - Trip from Syki, through Arnaia, Amphipoli to Lake Kerkini

After having a good breakfast and packing the car, we said goodbye to the landlord and Siki. Then we headed towards Lake Kerkini.

On the way to Thessaloniki, we took the old route to the right, passing by the Volvi Lakes and made a detour to Arnaia to buy leather. Unfortunately, there were no leather shops anymore (how things change in 25 years).

Then we drove to Amfipoli via Asprovalta to see the Lion of Amphipolis, which of course we had to take pictures of. (For more information, you can visit this Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphipolis )

From there, we continued to Lithotopos at Lake Kerkini, where we checked in at Hotel Erodios.

For dinner, we had typical local water buffalo cheese and then water buffalo stew with pasta, accompanied by 2 bottles of Malamatina and 200ml of Tsipouro. It was very tasty and satisfying :-)
