Today, Sunday, the final stage from Wittenberg to Dallgow, covering 94 km, awaits. After a good breakfast, I started in Wittenberg at 9:00 am. The route took me once again across the marketplace, past the town hall with the Luther monument. It was still very quiet, with hardly any people around. The sun is shining, my legs feel good, and I'm in a good mood. Leaving Wittenberg, I climbed up to Bundesstraße 2, unfortunately without a bike path. However, I made good progress and cycled downhill towards Treuenbrietzen. At the state border to Brandenburg, there finally was a bike path along B2, and at around 11:00 am, I reached Treuenbrietzen. A short rest at the monument of Sabinchen.

Continuing on to Beelitz, known for its asparagus, I also took a short break here. Only 25 km to Potsdam. I continued along B2 and arrived in Potsdam at 2:30 pm. Crossing the Havel bridge, passing the film museum and the Dutch quarter, I went directly into the city center. Lunch break at the Nauener Stadttor. There I met my neighbor Andi, who accompanied me on the bike for the last 25 km home. We continued past the Russian colony towards Berlin. The company was really beautiful. As we got closer and closer to Dallgow, I started cycling faster and faster. Finally, I saw Rotdornweg. Suddenly, Jeanette was standing on the road, welcoming me alongside all the other neighbors. It was like crossing the finish line of the Tour de France. I was very happy.

Summary after 8 days on the bike:

560 km in 8 days

mostly sunny weather

Great bike paths in Bavaria, Thuringia, and Brandenburg. Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt still have catching up to do here.

Great impressions of the landscape and the people.

Looking forward to doing it again.
