The best comes last

Day 51: Lourdes was an experience. Probably the most impressive of our entire trip. We can't say for sure because in the past 51 days we have discovered so many places, experienced so many adventures and met so many people that we first have to sort it all out and process it. This – our blog – will be of great help to us.

Yesterday I promised to tell you about the interesting conversation in our local bar. I immediately noticed that the man had an extraordinary charisma. Friendly, bright blue eyes, medium-long gray hair, a calm, pleasant voice. We talked in English until my conversation partner offered to continue our conversation in German. I perked up when he told me he came here two months ago because a voice told him to. One vote? When I asked, my counterpart introduced himself as Roland Armbruster from Switzerland and we agreed to continue our conversation on a first-name basis.

This is how I learned that Roland had special abilities. He is clairvoyant, clairaudient and works as a seer, magician and medical medium. I told him that I teach mindfulness, and so an extremely interesting conversation developed, in which Icke, who had just picked up a few things, joined in at some point. Since she also has a spiritual streak and has been dealing with spiritual topics for many years, she was quickly involved in our conversation.

Icke and I were aware without prior consultation that we weren't sitting across from any braggarts or deceivers. Roland told us about his career, his previous life as a bank employee and his new job, its challenges and obligations. We met a person who is looking for ways to use his special abilities, to help and to heal - himself and others. Not an easy task, but one to which there is no alternative for the Swiss. “I do a lot to recognize my path and then follow it,” he says.

We can only wish him luck and hope that he will find a goal on his path. Unless the path is his destination.

For us – at least in this case – the journey is not the destination. Our destination is Stolpe an der Oder, which we expect to reach on Friday. The journey back began for us today and we don't want to bore you with fancy stories from the motorway.

That's why we say goodbye at this point. It was fun to have you on our trip, to share our experiences with you, and we were very happy about your reactions. If the wanderlust gets too great and the voices calling for adventure get too loud, we'll let you know.

Promised!
