Hiking at Lake Louise

Hurrah, the sun is shining and we are already fighting for a parking spot at Lake Louise at 7:00 am. Success! Now it's time for breakfast and then off to Mirror Lake and Lake Agnes. It's a steady climb with rare views of Lake Louise. The youngest one is carried in the Manduca carrier. But otherwise, we enjoy the shady tour. Mirror Lake fully reflects Mt. XX.

The second short ascent to Lake Agnes with the famous Tea House is reinforced with steps and much shorter. The view is even more impressive and we have a picnic with a German hiking group. They realized late that we speak the same language and found it amusing to listen to each other.

It was also amusing when the little meerkat wanted our apple but didn't get it, or when the Tea House takes its water from the lake and sells it expensively with a different taste.

We only briefly dipped our feet because it was too cold. The sun shone all day today, so as a reward for all the hikers, we had ice cream at the Fairmont Chateau. Delicious!
