Second part of our city trip - off to Montreal.
We arrived in the rain and landed in Chinatown. We didn't plan it that way. But we wait out the rain and then head to the playground. We had to walk a few meters through the settlement and didn't feel quite comfortable doing so. So we decided to move again in the evening and ended up in a newly developed residential complex with a shopping center closer to the center. We will stay here for the next two nights.
To get to the center of Montreal, we take the subway. It's the fastest and most convenient way. We got off at Notre-Dame de Montréal and could immediately see the diverse architectural styles. Modern meets old historic buildings. Unfortunately, we didn't visit Notre-Dame, the exorbitant entrance fee put us off.

So we walked towards the waterfront and discovered the Ferris wheel 🎡. The sun was beating down on our shoulders and we looked for shady spots.

After seeing several buildings, we had some ice cream for a boost of energy. Then we went in search of the underground city. It is said to be 35km in size with 2,000 shops, various restaurants, and hotels. We didn't find an entrance right away, but unlike expected, there were only restaurants, three shops, and parking garages here.

To our surprise, however, we found a piece of home, a part of the Berlin Wall was on display here.

After such a cultural day, the kids still don't miss out, what else? We spend the evening at the playground.
