Day 14: Playing in the sand

When we pull up the blinds this morning, we can hardly believe it: bright blue sky!

We want to continue our journey today, but we are allowed to stay at the campsite until 2 pm. We have breakfast in the sun and go to the beach.

Leonora and Marik are excited. They dig in the sand, build sandcastles, and play with water.

When the children get tired and dark clouds are approaching, we get a pizza takeout and leave. We drive a long way north to near Zadar. Today we decide to stay at a large camping resort. It is very crowded here and there are only a few spots left. We are lucky and get a pitch in the front row right by the sea with a playground right in front. Marik can play there within sight of the caravan.

Here, there is blue sky and the sun is shining. We explore the place. It's great for families with children. There is a large sandy beach, shallow water, countless playgrounds, a huge water park, bouncy castles, trampolines, horses, a bakery, shops, supermarket, many restaurants, entertainment program, and even a diving center for dad.

In the evening, I go to the children's disco with Marik. Three animators make a great effort to get a big group of toddlers to dance. Marik is shy and just watches with interest today.

In the coming days, we will slow down and simply relax and let the children play. There is everything you need here.
