From top to bottom

Today there were two extremes for me: going up to 3143 meters high and going deep down into the valley.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, I started a hike with a group through the valley. It went up and down hills, over rocks and stones. Hard to believe that the women of the villages here walk every day, and they do it in flip-flops, while I had some problems with my hiking shoes here and there. Besides that, they effortlessly carry up to 20kg baskets on their backs, as if it's nothing, and they don't even pay attention to the path while doing it, because they also weave small animals out of plants for children. Hard to believe. And they do it even when they are over 50 years old!

In the villages, I finally saw how the people live here. Bananas, mandarins, papayas, and cinnamon grow everywhere in this country. The women shape the typical incense cones from cinnamon. It's fascinating how they do it. The rice terraces are everywhere, but unfortunately, you have to be lucky to see them in sunlight. Usually, water buffaloes graze there. All in all, it's a very idyllic place.

After the hike, I spontaneously decided to go to the highest mountain in Vietnam. The multi-day hike would certainly have been interesting, but it wouldn't have been possible for me due to my time management and an injury I recently suffered. So the cable car had to do the job. Up there, I experienced a little shock when I boarded the cable car at 25 degrees and got out 15 minutes later at 8 degrees. And that biting wind, mamma mia, it was cold. But what can I say? Take a look, it was worth it.
