Friends of the rock,

I've been doing a lot of sport in the last few weeks - surfing, hiking and sightseeing (yes, I think that's a sport in itself). But what I really miss more than anything else is climbing. And so I was very happy that I found a Via Ferrata that was on my route and also easy to do alone.

So I made all the preparations, packed up my 7 climbing gear and set off there in the morning. Here, too, the ride was absolutely cool and the views were magnificent.

Off to adventure!

Anticipation!

After a short climb, I strapped on my equipment and went to the wall full of anticipation and sweaty palms.

TADAAAAA!

And as you can probably tell from my happy face: it was just wonderful and exciting and beautiful! (And maybe a bit windy and sunny too. :D)

Then I moved further east along the coast and headed to the next campsite. This was right on the beach and I was able to wash off the sweat from the tour and enjoy the cool water. After making pancakes in the camping stove, I grabbed my phone and went for an evening walk on this same beach.

Information sign!

Only then did I see the following warning sign. I know these jellyfish from documentaries and know what damage they can cause. I'm always conservative when I'm out in the sea, especially when I'm not wearing diving goggles and can't see what's floating in the water, but I still had a sinking feeling in my stomach at first. And at the same time I was disappointed with myself because I didn't read a sign again - I'm trying to make myself more aware of it.

But the sunset was great!

What a great day and what great weather - I was very, very grateful for it all that evening.

With this in mind, stay healthy and pay attention to signs - no matter how small they may be.

Your Britta
