Backwaters - lots of peace and nature

On the way back to Chennai, we had our first experience with the 'tuktuk'. I must say, exciting!

The flight to Thiruvananthapuram was unfortunately a bit delayed, so we only arrived in Paravur in the evening, a small place somewhere in the backwaters.

Here there is a wonderful Ayurveda resort right on the lake. Absolutely quiet and in the middle of nature. An amazing contrast to the hustle and bustle of the cities.

An excursion, or rather a ride, was of course a must and we were able to take it with the company of another bird than our paddle boat. What a wonderful twist of fate.

So we explored picturesque landscapes from the water, with many small tributaries where you could easily get lost. It hardly needs to be mentioned that the sunset came very close to the cliché.

In the evening, there was excellent South Indian cuisine (for the people) and cold beer for refreshment.

Unfortunately, this beautiful section also comes to an end, and so we are curious to see what awaits us next.
