20.04.2015 Khao Lak with elephants

excitedly boarded the transfer and off we went to the elephants =) we had our own Dumbo, but we named him Ralf. The tour started and lasted about 1 hour, we had to climb onto a platform to be able to mount Ralf. With a lot of wobbling, we went through a rubber plantation up and down to a dried-up waterway where each of us was allowed to feed Ralf from his back. At times, we were allowed to ride without supervision. Afterwards, we continued on to sail through a river with a bamboo raft, and here we even saw king cobras in the trees. In the middle of the river, we were even allowed to take a short swim, the water was completely clear, so we could look all the way to the bottom. After the lunch, which consisted of seafood, we continued into a small national park, where we saw huge turtles and even a crocodile here. In the evening, we were so exhausted from the heat and all the excitement that we basically just collapsed into bed. The day was incredibly beautiful =)
