passed by faster than expected
5:30 in the morning again, breakfast waiting for us in half an hour. Today we only had two hours in the water, and here too we saw turtles again :-). Mike didn't want to dive anymore since he has seen everything he wanted to while snorkeling. We started towards the coast around 9 o'clock and had 6-7 hours ahead of us, the wind was good and we could even sail! The sea was very restless and everyone got a little seasick one after the other. Jenny even got a tablet :-D.
At noon we stopped in front of Haymon Island to have lunch. Now we were only 3 hours away from the coast. The weekend flew by, but every cent and every minute was worth it :-).
Surprisingly, the crew reserved a table for us at 'Beaches', a bar where we get 20% off everything and a free drink. It was clear where everyone would meet in the evening. Steve joined us and came with us to our caravan park, then we walked to the bar together. Steve is really funny. He also looks like Otto. When we arrived at the bar, everyone was so happy to see each other again.
We had food, drinks, and danced. After a while, there were only the two of us, Etty, Elad, Steve, and Peter left. Peter became good friends with Mike and they got along really well. Addresses were exchanged and now there is always a free bed for us in California! In any case, we want to visit Peter in California in the next few years, America is one of our next destinations anyway. The evening was super fun and the whole weekend was worth it down to the smallest detail. We would definitely recommend the Kiana to anyone who wants to take a sailing tour to the Whitsundays and the GBReef. In retrospect, we really couldn't have imagined being on another boat with at least 10 other people, and maybe even ending up on a party boat.
