koh phangan was incredibly beautiful! We had planned to fly from Chiang Mai to Surat Thani and then take a ferry to koh phangan. But since we landed at 5am, there were no more ferries at that time. So, we decided to take the night ferry instead. We spent the evening at the harbor until we boarded the ferry at 11pm. We didn't sleep much because we arrived at 6am the next morning and it was very hot because there was no air conditioning - despite all of that, it was a cool experience and we were able to save on accommodation.

When we arrived at the harbor, we took a taxi that took us north. But when we got there, we realized that we actually wanted to go to a different beach and we had landed in the wrong place. It was still very deserted because it was early in the morning. However, a local helped us and told us that we could take a boat to the other beach. So, we did that. After a long and exhausting journey, we finally arrived at our desired destination. We literally landed in paradise. We had never seen such a beautiful beach in our lives like the bottle beach. The beach was only about 500 meters long and there were four guesthouses/hotels at the bottle beach. It was a very secluded beach and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful time together. We went snorkeling, ate a lot and Meli had time to read the book that she had been carrying around for the entire trip. Dave was able to take incredibly beautiful pictures with his drone.

After 3 days of relaxation and being away from the nightlife and other people, we decided to go further south from the bottle beach, where there was more walking. We found a beautiful hotel with a room right on the beach. On the day we arrived, there was the big half moon festival, which takes place twice a month. Since we happened to be there at that time, we didn't want to miss the opportunity and had an extraordinary party experience. Another highlight in koh phangan was definitely slip'n'fly. We went to a place where there were two huge slides that launched us very high up into the air. It was also a very cool experience that we will never forget.

I wrote this text in the past because we are currently traveling again, namely to the neighboring island of koh tao. I will provide an update about that soon.
