November 2016 - May 2022

Dear reader,

Welcome back to my blog, and how lovely to have you here again! As you can see in the title and the blog description, several years have passed since my last blog post from Ireland. There were many reasons for this - on the one hand, I completed university and started working; on the other hand, there were health problems and pandemics in between. Sports became more important, work became more important, and traveling was no longer a priority because I spent so much time commuting between Carinthia and Vienna. I fell in love, fell out of love, fell in love again, and somewhere in between, I lost track a little. In the past few months, it has been all work, evening courses, and exam preparation for the certified payroll accountant, with little to no personal life. It went well for a few months until I realized that it couldn't continue like that.

That's exactly why I have now taken a mini break and fulfilled one of my biggest dreams - a solo trip along the Algarve in Portugal. So here I am, happily and grinning, sitting on the beach in Carvoeiro, Portugal, as I write these lines. In the next few days, there will be a detailed summary of my experiences here.
