Hello from Rotorua

We arrived in Rotorua late at night and since our journey for the next day was planned, we didn't have much time for this place. However, right from the beginning, we got a distinctive impression of this area: it smells quite bad here! The area around Rotorua is characterized by numerous thermal springs. We got a small insight into this in the public park. There were numerous bubbling ponds that smelled 'wonderfully' of sulfur. In addition to the thermal springs, Rotorua offers a wide range of cricket playing, enjoyed primarily by the older society.

After a short visit, we left our really beautiful hostel, where we would have liked to stay longer, but the journey must go on. After all, we still have some destinations on the schedule.

Before our departure, there was a friendly game between Germany and New Zealand in basketball. Joseph, a true Kiwi, told us a lot about the place afterwards. Then we tried the high-quality Manuka honey (for Kevin the first time), which is known for its special purity among honeys and tasted exceptionally good. In the end, we wondered if you can eat 12 cheese rolls when there is no time to cook. I bet you can guess the answer now.
