The next stop was the breathtaking Hot Water Beach 😍
The beach is famous for being able to dig a hole in the sand at low tide and then hot water comes out of the sand. This is due to the geothermal springs under the sand, which come from a volcano. We liked this place so much that we stayed here for 2 nights.
Finally, our campsite had a kitchen and a hot shower that was also free 😍 Free has become our best friend 😅
In the evening at low tide, we went to the beach and took a bath. Of course, we were the only ones at 14 degrees.
Finally, when the tide went out, we started digging our hole. But somehow, a huge wave always came and filled it back up 😅 after digging for a long time, a wave would always come and fill our hole, so we just went to other people's holes 😅 it was a breathtaking experience 😍
The water reaches temperatures of up to 65 degrees, and in some places, you can burn yourself.
When it got dark, we admired the unique starry sky of New Zealand and then went to shower and free ourselves from the sand. After dinner (instant noodles), we went straight to bed, we were once again too tired...
