23.11.2019 Quito Cathedral

Our hostel is located in the center close to some attractions. So it leads us first to the Basílica del Voto Nacional, a large cathedral. We can explore almost every corner of it, climbing up to the towers and down to the roof. Afterwards, we were tempted by the Museum of Modern Art, but unfortunately, there is currently no exhibition. A golden banana was the highlight. Then we walked for about an hour to the botanical garden of Quito. Despite the already closed orchid bloom, we took a look at the garden, where we found, among other things, carnivorous plants and an impressive bonsai collection.
