Cairns - Rain and Tanks

Since yesterday, there has been a significant amount of water coming from the sky, to be precise >120mm 😲 (more than in our rainiest month on average, or about 1/7 of our annual rainfall)! That's why some roads around Cairns are closed, it's good that I'm already here!

And it's good that it's still a minimum of 24°, so I don't have to freeze here!

To avoid the weather, I went to the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum today and checked out the huge tank exhibition. Very impressive to see all the things they have and some of them are still drivable: T34, Leopard1, Sherman, Tiger1, 88er, howitzers, etc.

Only the gun of the submarine in the garden is visible (see photo) 🤣

After a delicious, cheap, and vegetarian lunch, I'm back in the room now and will later head back to the city...
