The first 10 days on board of AIDAbella are done. It's still very exciting, thrilling, and a real adventure. I have managed the transition from the smallest AIDA ship to a slightly larger one quite well so far, but sometimes I still struggle with orientation. All in all, you find your way around after getting lost a few times. I have also been warmly welcomed and integrated by my team, so I can feel comfortable again. However, it takes some time to fully adjust to all the new circumstances. Currently, I still need some time for myself, so I prefer to enjoy free hours on land or doing sports in the evening or on deck 6. But of course, it's never boring among the crew. Many evenings are spent in the crew bar, just like on AIDAcara - a kind of large living room where all departments meet and can exchange with each other. It's usually more about chatting after work and getting to know colleagues outside of work. A drink or the beloved chocolate bar shouldn't be missing ;-)
During the first two trips, I have been able to see some fantastic new places again. Despite the end of the season, there are still many visitors in Venice and Dubrovnik for my standards. However, this time of year is perfect for exploring the cities along the Adriatic, as it is too crowded and hot here in the peak summer months. I also found the Greek island of Corfu and Zadar in Croatia to be particularly beautiful. Unique mountain landscapes and beautiful views of the sea convince both guests and us scouts. Take a look at what I have already experienced.
Next, we will embark on another trip to the Adriatic before heading to Asia on our seemingly half-world trip. We will pass through the Suez Canal from Venice to Dubai and spend 10 consecutive days at sea. This will be a new challenge for all of us. Nobody should be bored on board.
