Day 25: Rest day again

Sunday, August 6, 2023. After being one day faster than the plan, I have a rest day today. I take it easy, do some things, and stroll along. The memories of 2008 come alive as I walk through the streets. Of course, the Bremen Town Musicians are on the program, the Roland, the cathedral (with tower ascent), the Böttcherstrasse, the Weser promenade, but also the Schnoor district as uncharted territory for me. Narrow alleys, old houses, many people - cozy.
I'm considering taking a boat trip. Then I discover the theater ship, the play is called 'ABBA klaro!'. The music starts playing in my head, there are still tickets available. Theater seating has been installed in the ship's hull. The story is, of course, built around the songs, sometimes with new lyrics to fit the plot. The atmosphere is great, there is a lot of applause. Happy ending. I don't regret it and can recommend it to all who can still appreciate ABBA.
To top it off, a beer (Haake Beck) on the 'beer garden street' on the Weser.
I enjoyed Bremen again, although it's less crowded than Hamburg, but atmospherically just as good.
