The 'entry' into Germany (at Saarbrücken) was accompanied by loud cheering from everyone, but the arrival at our home was the highlight. The floor was kissed, the dimensions of the house were discussed and appreciated in detail, and the extensive selection of toys was admired and praised.
Yes, that's how nice it can be when you've been away for 6 weeks, you appreciate things differently again, such as a washing machine, a garden, the language, and all the space.
This short interruption (actually, it's not an interruption at all, but also part of the journey) was planned from the beginning because my mother is turning 80 years old and we all want to be there for this celebration.
We are using this time to revise the budget planning, to install a shelving system in the garage of the motorhome, to replenish supplies, to leave unnecessary things at home and to pack forgotten items. The children meet their friends, we celebrate my birthday and enjoy this little break from the break from the break...
We brought some southern European flair to Potsdam and are hanging the laundry in the 'courtyard' again.
See you soon.
