And on Tuesday morning our legs said 'Not again...'!!! Because after the 60km tour on Monday, on Tuesday we had to ride another 60km, this time with the addition of some slight uphill sections, as we were going further inland.
If you think that we were a bit too ambitious with the distance, you would be wrong....there simply aren't many accommodation options. It feels like the Baltics are still in hibernation, with many attractions and restaurants still closed, and we are often the only guests at our accommodation.
But in Kuldiga, formerly known as Goldingen, we were able to relax a bit and stay for two nights.
The small, charming wooden village impresses with a mix of old and new, wood and metal, colorful and grey, and the widest waterfall in Europe....if you believe the local description. Enjoying the beautiful weather, having a picnic by the river and relaxing in the park - this is how we recharge our batteries for tomorrow: we are continuing to Matkule.
