Mont Blanc

After the early wake-up call from the cow herd and breakfast with all the hikers on the TMB, we quickly climbed the last meters of elevation to Cormet de Roselend (1968 m). Once again, it was a beautiful spring in the mountains with snow nearby.

Then we had a long descent to Baufort (738 m) for a coffee break, and after that, we tackled the next climb. Somewhere on a bend, we caught sight of Mont Blanc.

To take a photo at the summit of Col des Saisies (1650 m), we had to improvise... Thanks to the Tour de France 2021, parts of this road will soon have a new smooth surface!

We continued downhill to Megeve and descended to the valley at 570 m before reaching Le Fayet in the heat. Then we had to ride uphill under the scorching sun towards Chamonix. Since the main road is now a highway, there was an extra steep incline.
