Lagos

Udgivet: 16.09.2023

Friends of the rain,

I'm currently sitting in Tomar, about halfway between Lisbon and Porto, as I have to be in Porto tomorrow to pick Sophia up from the airport. I'm so happy that she's coming to Portugal for a week. We will spend 2 days looking at Porto here and then spending 4 days near Lisbon. This also means that I probably won't be able to tell you about Porto and Lisbon next week. But you know that sooner or later you will hear all my stories.

I wanted to check out a few cool beaches on the way to Tomar today, but the weather spoiled my plans because it kept raining quite heavily.

So much for the present - more about the past and my visit to Lagos. After the dolphin tour, I walked from the harbor into the city center via a drawbridge, which is regularly folded in and out again on taller ships.

In the city I treated myself to a second breakfast and slowly strolled through the alleys towards the beach.

I then walked through the old town back towards the harbor.

On the way back to my vehicle(s), I treated myself to Britta-like ice cream again to add a little more sweetness to the great day.

The town is small but very cute and, above all, it offers a few cabaret shops that sell all sorts of homemade little things.

What really surprised me in a positive way was the art that I found in this small town! It was like a museum within the city.

I love. But unfortunately it was closed.

Then we went back to the campsite and had a break day planned for the next day, where I would write a blog and spend 2 hours on the beach near the campsite.
