Because we have a lot of stress at the university right now - midterms, group projects, and several papers - we unfortunately haven't had the chance to upload new pictures in the past few weeks. That's why here's a post about our trip to Las Vegas two weeks ago, a bit late.
A weekend in Vegas is a must if you're already here and it was at the top of our to-do list from the beginning. So, on Friday, we started with a first stop at "Denny's" and then, strengthened by a breakfast burger, made another stop at the outlet two hours later. From there, we drove another two hours to Las Vegas. It became clear right away at the check-in at the "Excalibur" hotel how crazy this city is. Because it was so crowded, it took almost an hour to check in and finally enter our room in the huge hotel - where every table and every slot machine in the casino were already occupied by noon. After that, we immediately went to the Strip and ended up at "Caesar's Palace", where the guys in our group immediately went to the casino tables to gamble. For the evening, a promoter put us on the guest list at "Hakkasan", where we were able to go party without paying an entrance fee. A few hours later, dressed up in dresses and high heels as Vegas requires, we went to the club where Lil Jon was DJing that night. Summary of the evening: Partying in Vegas is definitely amazing!
The next day, we had a little pool party at the AirBnb where some of the group we were traveling with were staying. In the evening, we went to Fremont Street in downtown Vegas, where there is just as much going on as on the Strip itself. There is a casino next to the next, and everywhere you are tempted to put a few dollars in a slot machine and challenge your luck!
Unfortunately, luck was not on our side, and we didn't win a single cent at the slot machine or roulette. Before we headed home on Sunday evening, we took another look at the Strip during the day, walked through some of the crazy hotels (especially impressive: the Venetian Hotel, where you feel like you are in the middle of Venice), watched the water show in front of the Bellagio, and enjoyed an ice cream sandwich in the sun. On the way back, we passed the famous Vegas Sign before fighting our way back to Fullerton through the traffic.
