Day 6 & 7 - Las Vegas - Arrive

The day before yesterday we had a flight from Newark Airport to Las Vegas. We immediately found our way around Terminal A. Everything is very clear and very well signposted (even in the airline’s app). The flight with “United” was very pleasant, apart from some slight turbulence within the first hour. From the plane you could see the desert and the Grand Canyon. This circumstance caused the first pulse fluctuations. I actually wanted to get some sleep, but then I was so excited and excited that I was permanently glued to the window. 🤗 Elisa painted burgers 🍔 and watched films, which is what you do on the plane. Then we were hungry 😅. When we arrived in Las Vegas, it was very warm, but not as bad as feared. In that respect, it's somewhat okay. 👍🏻

We are staying at the Hotel Treasure Island. “City” would be more appropriate here. There is everything your heart desires - but above all a huge casino, around which the complex appears to have been built. There are a lot of vending machines there 🙈.

For tourists there is basically only one relevant street in Las Vegas: South Las Vegas Boulevard. All hotels/casinos and “sights” are located there. There are 2200 casinos in the city. Yesterday we walked along this one street and back again. That was enough in the heat. Luckily our hotel is right on the boulevard.

The absolute highlight was the Caesars Palace. We thought that you had to “pack a suitcase full of money on the table” to get in there. But quite the opposite: many areas are open to visitors. It was pretty spectacular and also a little intimidating.

Despite all the hilarity, you always have to remember that people are literally having their money taken out of their pockets in the casinos. It is made very easy for people. You can insert credit cards directly into the machine. 🙈

Nevertheless, we somehow felt like we were following in the footsteps of Bradley Cooper and Co (keyword: Hangover)... Speaking of which: Have we actually forgotten anyone?🙈🤔😁

In the evening we went to the “Kugel” - also called “Sphere”. It is a venue that opens in a week. It is illuminated or animated.
