Yesterday we strolled through Central Park and got to know New York's green lung. It is 800 m wide and almost 4 km long. When the high-rise buildings rise between and above the trees, it is an extraordinary panorama. We passed some filming locations for various films and series.
Riding the subway is really fun. It runs almost every minute. It goes from A to B very quickly. There is WiFi everywhere. The orientation also works very well (most of the time anyway, keyword: baseball game😅) It is relatively cheap at $3 per single trip through the entire city without tariff zones (for comparison: €2.50 in Magdeburg with a tram that comes later or also sometimes not at all and takes forever 😅). We travel more often than we thought and should have booked a discounted rate in advance... 🤷🏼♂️ But I was of the opinion that we didn't need that. Today we top up our Metrocards for the third time 🙈
We did everything right by purchasing the New York Pass (Elisa's suggestion). We paid around $270 for 4 days and therefore had “free entry” to many, many attractions. It may sound like a lot of money, but overall it's cheaper for us. The QR code is simply scanned on site and off you go - quickly and easily!
In the evening we took a tour with the Circle Line New York - Harbor tour and experienced the city at sunset/at night. We were treated to a unique sight that we hope we will never forget. 🗽🛕🌉🌇😍
Good morning from NYC ☕️ 🥱
