20.05./21.05. The goal of the third day was supposed to be Glacier National Park in eastern British Columbia. However, since we passed by Crazy Creek on the way there and the campground there advertised hot pools, we decided to spend the day there. It was only 2 pm when we arrived. We set up Jim Bob for the first time - meaning we put up our tarp, enjoyed the sun, and had a few beers. In the evening, we relaxed in the hot pools, with a view of the surrounding mountains. Everything reminded us of Iceland, but not nearly as remote. For dinner, we had a small snack - but we would have preferred to grill, like all the other campers around us. With the smell of the grill in the air, we ate our sandwiches. At night, we made our camp bear-safe, as there were bears in the area. So we packed all food-related items into our car... except for the picnic table, which had to stay outside. Once in bed, we hoped we wouldn't have to go to the bathroom again, because we weren't ready to fight the bears. The next morning, we once again realized how long it takes for us to get ready to leave, as the constant packing and unpacking eats up a lot of time. We had to optimize the whole process, that was clear. It's not so easy living in a car...
