Yesterday we visited the new harbor of Hermanus and had dinner at the restaurant 'the Rock'. The three others had sushi and I had a summer salad. For the main course, they had Baby Kingklip and I had a beef fillet.
After breakfast, it was time to say goodbye to Hermanus. Our journey took us through Kleinmond, Betty Bay, and Gordon's Bay, along Clarence Drive towards Somerset West. From there, we continued on the N2 towards Grabouw, crossing Sir Laury Pass.
We had mostly rainy and windy weather until Gordon's Bay. From Gordon's Bay to Grabouw/Elgin, it was dry and sunnier.
Instead of stopping at Peregrin Farmstall, we stopped at Elgin Railway Market, but unfortunately, it was still closed.
Our route then led us over Franschhoek Pass to Franschhoek, where we met Studer's at Franschhoek Cellar and enjoyed a wine tasting.
Afterwards, we checked into Ashbourne House, where Tim warmly welcomed us and we briefly discussed the next three days. Then we settled into our rooms.
At 3:30 pm, we made a quick visit to 'Hey Joe Brewery' before heading home to prepare for the evening at 'la petite Colombe'.
