Cabo Villano and Muxia

Today we drive up to Cabo Villano in rainy weather. The huge lighthouse looks very impressive. We are the only visitors in this bad weather.
We continue our journey to Muxia. We park at the small lighthouse and visit the pilgrimage church A Virxe da Barca. The gloomy weather makes it look almost creepy here. There are huge high waves here, a real natural spectacle as the water crashes against the rocks. Right here, in 2002, there was a terrible oil spill accident that contaminated the entire coast. A monument commemorates the disastrous catastrophe and the countless volunteers.

Hallo zusammen, jetzt versuchs ichs nochmal mit dem Kommentieren. Sind ja wieder beeindruckende Bilder. Das Wetter ist zwar nicht so gut, dafür habt ihr jede Menge Platz. Jetzt seid ihr ja bald in Portugal. Wie sind denn eure weiteren Reisepläne? Plant ihr noch, nach Amerika zu reisen?

Hallo liebe Birgit, wir freuen uns, dass unsere Bilder so gut bei dir ankommen. Mit unseren Südamerika Plänen wird es wegen der Pandemie erstmal nichts werden, aber es gibt auch andere schöne Fleckchen auf der Welt die wir noch nicht gesehen haben.
