Come down and enjoy... that's why we spent a day 'just' chilling at the beach, visiting the place, and indulging ourselves with watermelon and cider.
Under palm trees and with the sound of the sea in the background, life is good. Mission Beach is a small coastal town with a few pubs, cafes, and small shops - a great place to let the many impressions of the last days sink in.
Our campsite is very cozy and only about 30 meters from the beach again, we can hear the sound of the sea - so beautiful, I could get used to it!
Today, we admired the surrounding island group Family Island during a boat tour and spent a few wonderful hours on the islands of Bedarra and Dunkin... Truly paradise, sandy beach, crystal clear water, palm trees - what more could you ask for...
Back in Mission Beach, I unfortunately got stung by a jellyfish while walking on the beach... Our guide today told us that it's not jellyfish season yet because the water is still too cold (25°C is still too cold), but unfortunately, I was unlucky. It hurts like hell, but luckily, it was just a small jellyfish clinging to my foot... it could have been worse. I poured balsamic vinegar on the spot and cooled it down, the only remedies that Google says help with a jellyfish sting.
Tomorrow we'll have more action, we're going up high, but more on that tomorrow!
