As we spent the weekend in Geraldton, we immediately grabbed the 'Weekend Activities' sheet, which listed everything worth seeing. Live music from a cover band at the Geraldton Hotel with dinner and beer, garage sale (complete failure - misunderstood), local market (questionable that 3 tents should be considered a market..), and the Sunday market (this was great and we got some delicious beef jerky).
For exercise, we specifically walked the 'Street Art Trail' as requested by Jacqueline and up to the HMAS Sydney War Memorial. Since our last visit to Geraldton, which was several years ago, Geraldton has really cleaned up. According to information, approximately 26 million AUD was invested. We will keep Geraldton in good memory, especially with the beautiful butterfly photos.
Heading south, passing countless beautiful beaches and lookouts, we ended up spending the night in Cervantes.
With fish and chips in our bellies, we went exploring how lobster is caught, packaged, and shipped live at the Lobster Shacks company. Note from Martin: There is still a lot of potential for automation..
After being satiated by so many beautiful beaches and lookouts, we drove to the famous Swan Valley. We enjoyed the local delicacies and in the morning, we went to the Yanchep National Park to observe koalas.
We are always fascinated by these animals and how slowly they move. If you take your time, you will always discover sleeping koalas in the tree forks. After a classic BBQ in the park, we followed the coast to Fremantle.
