Today we visited an old military airport. It has been out of operation since the war. Slowly, nature is reclaiming the area. And where plants grow, animals soon join. So, in addition to insects, birds, and other small creatures, sheep and cows have taken over the runway. Up the road in the mountains, there are said to be 50 Chinese defense fighters still mothballed. Whether they are still functional is questionable. Unfortunately, we could not visit them. On one side towards the mountain, there was a pretty wild pedestrian bridge that we didn't dare to cross, and at the regular entrance, there is actually still a guard post.
So we looked for a quiet place to spend the night and found one. In the lagoon of Patok, there are a few fish restaurants. They have cute little huts along the piers where you can sit and eat. In addition, you can park your motorhome for free in front of them. To our delight, we met a couple of campers here who had already stayed at the Shkodra Lake campsite with us. Both have roughly the same route as us. Let's see how many times we will meet again.
After a cheerful dinner together and a relaxing night, we will continue today.
